She was active with the Retired Flight Attendants Association and frequently reunited with her fellow attendants. She was an Elder in her church and worked the soup kitchen at the Sulzbacher Center. Carol was President of the Garden Club of Jacksonville (GCOJ), 2015-2017,and member of the Wildflower and Moonflower Circles. The GCOJ gifted Carol with a Life Membership of the FFGC. She attended flower show judging school and completed the NGC Environmental school courses. While President of the GCOJ, she performed songs and skits she created and wore colorful costumes. Carol also served as a District IV FFGC Director. At the District IV Fall meeting last year, she sang “Come to Jacksonville” to encourage members to attend the FFGC Centennial Convention. All at the meeting, joined in and sang with her. Carol won a blue ribbon for her “Fish Camp” floral design at a District IV flower show. Her entry was photographed and featured in the Florida State Judges Council’s Floral Design Calendar. Jan Sillik

Carol Waters - The RV'er
Remembering Carol Walters: she was the inspiration that gave me the opportunity to create and maintain our District website. She and her husband were intrepid RV campers whose experiences coincided with mine and my husband's; I would never have pegged her for an RV’er, but there you have it. Dianne Battle
